"If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans." - James Herriot

Nice to Meet you...

My name is Emma. I grew up in beautiful New Zealand and spent my childhood riding horses, and caring for dogs, cats, birds, and even fish!  I have always been an animal lover and advocate, which contributed to my decision as a young child to become a lifelong vegetarian and as a young adult led me to volunteering for animal advocacy groups like the Humane Society.  After I lost my beloved dog Leo in 2016, I fostered two dogs before deciding to try dog sitting, as a way to get “dog love” in our home.  This has led me to the most fulfilling and happy career as a professional pet sitter!  My three teen kids and my darling mother Annie, along with her companion dog Jack are all a part of the pack here at our Orlando Doggies home in College Park.  There is always someone home to supervise our doggie guests.  In addition to dog sitting I now offer dog-related products that are inspired by our own needs here at home and by the families that trust us with their fur babies.  We love to get feedback on what kinds of products and services you may need so we can be there for our community.  If you think you’d like your pup to join our pack, then schedule a meeting and let’s get to know each other!

My name is Annie.  Here is a little  background about me! Aside from being a loving dog mum and dog sitter, I am also a kiwi, a mum, a nana, a midwife, a nurse, a human rights advocate, and I am a jolly good friend.  I joined my daughter Emma and my grandkids in Orlando in 2022 after spending more than twenty years as a travel nurse  working in some of the most interesting places in the US, including the last five years in beautiful and rugged Alaska.  This is where I found my gorgeous companion dog Jack Snow running on a dirt road on the outskirts of town (or maybe he found me!).  I knew this sweet little pup would never last the harsh winter on the Alaskan tundra, so I took him home with me and he has been my best friend for seven years!  Before all that I lived a whole other life in New Zealand, growing up on a large working sheep farm and studying midwifery to become a well respected midwife in our city of Rotorua.  Now that I am living in Orlando and semi-retired, I spend most of my time relaxing with Emma and the grandkids, cuddling and doting on all our doggie guests, and pursuing my arts and crafts hobbies.

My interest in crafting, sewing, and crochet, along with a love for spoiling our doggies, has inspired me to collaborate with Emma to create custom products for our doggie guests and their families.  Now we have several handmade, customizable items available for sale to the community too!  Click below to see what we have been making lately.
